Question: im suffiring from pain in my body and my feet i was put on cymbalta but i read the reviews and they are not so positive

Cymbalta - Duloxetne is very good drug for somatic pain. I have used it in many patients and got 70% success in person with somatic (body) pain.

Please tell me since when you have such pain, who has prescribed medicines.

i ve being on it for the past 5 years for the pain i was put on it by nurologiest than was told to see a psychiatries. Two months ago i decided to stop i was feeling great till one week ago. My pain come back very bad in my body my legs and arms. My depression gotten even worst i stoped working out and doing thinks that i did. I went to see nurologist again and she put me back on 20 cymbalta wich did not help. Then i went to see a neurologist specialist she put me on 60m and took an byapsy of the skin to see if im nuropathic. Meantime i also saw my psychiatries and he told me that i need to stay on 60m.. Im taking it only for 4 days now but not feeling any better yet. Also this reviews that im reading about cymbalta is making me feel sick.
i want to have my life back and be happy. My doctor says that it will take about 14 days to start working.

Principle to choose a drug suggests that if any patient has good response with any medicine in past, start the same medicine again when required.
Cymbalta was effective before in your case, so it has been started again.
It is effective in somatic pain as well as depression.No major side effects in your case.
What you have read from net is general information of drug. No need to worry about that.
Any psychotropic drug acts at neurotranmitter level ultimately. It will take 10-14 days for any drug to act on molecular level.So your doctor is right, just wait and allow drug to show effects.

If biopsy reports comes positive,medicine can be changed accordingly.

If comes negative,let's wait for cymbal to act. If unluckily cymbal does not work,no need to worry, there are other medicines also.
