Question: Hi , we are trying for pregnancy , my wife had two missed abortion ( No heart Beats Baby ) now doctor suggest , please take Tab "Goodova 50 " from 1st Day Of Periods (MC) for 5 days , & another Tab Folinine plus , there is any side effect of this

Dear the medicine goodova 50 helps ovulation and increase the ovarian reserve and it has no proven side effects .But some patients can have loose motions,photophobia,altered liver funtion test,periphral edema and hot flushes etc. Since these side effects do not occur in all patients while taking this medicine,so if comparing its more favours than low risk ,it can be taken according to the treating doctor's advice .
Folinine plus is a multivitamin tablet .And is adviced during preconception (before pregnancy) , some time it can cause loose motion,stomach upset,low appetite ,skin rashes etc.These side effects can be avoided if taken with food.
If in case ,any of the above side effect happen, inform the treating doctor promptly and follow accordingly.

Dear XXXXXXX actualy 10 to 15 percent of all pregnancies terminate with missed abortion and causes can be from fetal side such as due to chromosomal abnormalities . In this, the fetus does not develop well with the heart beat due to genetic problem.
Other causes can be from mother side like poor diet habit , any medical condition like hypertention,diabetes,infection,UTI etc.
And in 40 percent no cause is known.
Before next successfull pregnancy couple is adviced genetic counselling and chromosomal analysis and some tests are done to rule out the above mentioned causes so it can be treated accordingly.
And before the next pregnancy folic acid is adviced and it depends as per situation wether mother needs medicine for ovulation or not , better decided by the treating Gynaecologist .
Since after12 days of menstural period ,the women undergoes ovulation period ,which is the period of mature ova ,so intercourse is adviced in these days for fertilization and conceiving . So having intercourse between 22/1/2016 to 31/1/2016 may increase the chances of getting pregnant.
