What Are The Side Effects Of Levipil?
The dose is safe.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted the findings and current medications of your son.
The recommended highest dose of Levipil (levetiracetam) for a 14 year old child is 60 mg per kg body weight divided in two doses. So, for a 78 kg child, the dose of 3000 mg per day (1500 mg twice daily) is well within the safe limits.
Levipil is fairly safe. In rare cases, behavioural changes may be seen.
I hope my reply has helped you.
I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Cure will depend on the biopsy report.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
The cure of brain tumor depends on the biopsy report, which will be known after the surgery.
Open surgery is preferred as more tumour can be removed. Gamma knife is mainly used for small tumours. Your neurosurgeon would be the best judge to decide the type of surgery.
Anti-epileptic medications would be needed until the tumour is there.
