Brief Answer:
Start to take pill from today.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Ovral-L is a combined hormonal pill. It should be taken from D1 of period cycle and continued for next 21 days on scheduled time. Give 7 days gap to get period.

Again, you should start a NEW pill pack after 7 days of LAST pill intake. It will be continued as same manner for next 1 year.

Common side effects are nausea, vomiting, mild abdominal cramp, spotting, headache, weight gain, breast tenderness etc. However, these are well tolerated and overcome with the time.

It has DUAL benefits. It will help to regularize your monthly period and give more than 99% protection against unwanted pregnancy after 1-month used.

You should use some back up method like condom, spermicidal gel etc for this month to avoid minimal chance of pregnancy.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and take care yourself.
