This rash has been here about four days it does not it does not hurt the medications I take for fibromyalgia sjogren psoriatic arthritis depression bipolar disorder are cymbalta, lyrica, humira, lamictal, metoprolol, suboxone for pain. None of these are new. I have no other symptoms except the suboxone causes sores in my mouth. I am worried because i have been in contact with my 12 month old grandson. I have sent a photo already
The bumps do not feel raised either, but now i am starting to get a sore throat. Did i mention i sweat profusely on my head and face. I started putting a nystatin cream on it and it doesnt seem as red now.

Brief Answer:
It seems like simple allergic rash

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back and uploading the picture , I really apologize for the delay in my response I had some unforseen connectivity issues going on,

I have read your response and have seen the picture closely.

I would like to assure you that this DOES NOT seem to be any thing serious,

This Does not look like rash of some serious infection, I know you are concerned about transmitting it to your grandson but i wan't to assure you that the likelihood is remote.

You are having sore throat this might be a separate event, infections causing sore throat are usually viral but almost all of them are big rashes and they spread all over body not just the cheek.

This looks like an allergic rash , it might be due to exposure of bugs causing allergic bites or ot might be just a simple allergy without any evident reason.

Suggestions:

1) Do not panic.

2) This is supposed to settle in a week or so, and i hope it must be settling already.

3) If doesn't settle or seem to be settling or symptoms get worsened, then see a doctor.

4) For now your don't have to apply anything on it.

5)In my opinion it is safe to be in contact with your grandson , it shouldn't cause any problems.

6) Keep an eye at the rash if its settling or spreading that will help you evaluate if you need to visit a doctor. In my opinion it will settle.

I wish you the very best of health and apologize yet again for such delay at my end.

Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.
