Brief Answer:
20 % per week

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

Since Aropax is a SSRI which can cause withdrawal symptoms if discontinued abruptly. To avoid those unpleasant symptoms you need to withdraw it very slowly.

The recommended strategy is to go down by 20 % every week which can be executed in following way.

First week 15 mg (one and Half tablet of ten mg tablet)

Second week 12.5 mg (one and a quarter tablet of ten mg tablet)

Third week 10 mg

Fourth week 5 mg

Fifth week 2.5 mg

Sixth week - stop

In this way you will able to remove it safely.

I hope this answers your question.
Thanks and regards

Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

Doxepin can cause rebound insomnia if stopped abruptly. I do not think cold turkey is right method of discontinuation for doxepin.

I hope this answers you.

doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Ashok Kumar Choudhary (3 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
This should be done gradually again

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing back to me.

Like paroxetine same principal of 20% reduction every week should be applied after aropax is removed.

Both should not be done at the same time as there are more likelihood of withdrawal symptoms.

Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
