Hi,

With aging arteries become stiffer, which leads to low diastolic blood pressure (bottom number of blood pressure). Sometimes it can be seen also then there is aortic insufficiency.
If a patient is 82 years old, her diastolic blood pressure can be as low as 30 mm Hg. In this age we don't worry if we see low bottom numbers of blood pressure, it will cause no harm.
