What Can Be The Effects Of Accidental Ingestion Of Paradac?
There's no side effect if one tab of Paradac is ingested accidentally.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Hi & Welcome.
I appreciate your concern for the safety while taking one tablet of Paradac accidentally along with a rice preparation(I assume it to be Paradac which contains Acetaminophen, is it not?).
One tablet of Acetaminophen will not cause any side effects even if it is consumed accidentally like along with a dish of rice.
However if the person who consumes this and he might develop some allergic reaction in the form of skin rash, hives, or itching that should be brought to the notice of a doctor otherwise nothing to worry.
Hope to have answered your query.
Should you need more clarification, please feel free to ask.
Best wishes.
Accidental ingestion of PARAD may cause gastroenteritis
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, Hi
Thanks for providing the actual ingredient of the tablet PARAD.
PARAD is an Ayurvedic preparation commonly used as a pesticide and fumigant to keep the worms and insects away from the stored food grains like rice.
Since in addition to Calcium carbonate it also contains Mercuric cholride (the main active ingredient responsible for pesticidal action), the accidental ingestion of PARAD can cause Mercury poisoning in the form of severe diarrhea (with blood), abdominal pain and vomiting.
The person who has ingested PARAD accidentally should be taken to the emergency room (casualty) for further management which may involve vigorous hydration (IV fluids) and giving specific antidote for mercury poisoning i.e. Oral Unithiol or Dimercaprol (Intramuscular shot).
