What Casues Double Heart Beats When Active?
Question: Heart appears to have a double beat when active, but after long rests fluctuates. If do strenuous work, exercise, walk fast, etc. become rapidly fatigued, faint - can drop head down below shoulders or sit down and lower head and it goes away. Prior to this my normal resting heart rate was around 60/s, now, according to heart rate counters on stationary bikes, as well as counting all beats, around 120 or slightly better. This began approximately 3 months ago and appears to be showing up when I'm under less exercise, or work stress. Recently I've noticed occasional pricks of pain in center of chest. I am, or was, fairly active in both physical work as well as in the gym. Now I have to slow down walking as well as heavy lifting or strength exercises. I have no other physical signs that I'm aware of. So, am I dead, dying, or just make an appointment to see a doctor. (I recently moved to another state and have no doctor.) I have no phone as my hearing is such that I can't understand 96% of the population.
