What Cause Pain At Above The Ankle On Back Foot?

Question: The pain is at the back of my foot above the ankle. I have been doing stretching exercises and it had eleviated but while playing tennis yesterday it came back. Should I be putting cold compresses on it?

According to what you have said above, I think your condition is caused by achilles tendonitis. One of the possible complications is a tendon rupture.

In your case, I think you should consult your orthopedist, who will make a physical examination.
