What Cause Prolonged Periods After Taking I Pill?

Question: Hello doc I had sexual intercourse with my boyfriend immediately after my periods and I took an I pill within 24 hrs. The bleeding started on 10th /11th day after having I pill. I had taken I pill twice earlier also (one last yr in July and another this yr in XXXXXXX ). Bleeding has continued for 8th day also. Is it ok? What shall I do? Pl advice. I am in tension.
