What Causes Lyme Disease, Faint And Weak Feeling?
Question: Just about everyday I start shaking, find it hard to concentrate, get somewhat irritable, after a few minutes I start to feel very weak and faint. I have been diagnosed with Lyme disease and the co-infection Babesia, which together have hundreds of symptoms, but I've never found this particular one listed. Thank you for your help. If you have anyone who is knowledgeable about Lyme/Babesia, I would love to talk to them, no LLMD within 200 miles.
Brief Answer:
Post–Lyme Syndrome
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
It seems that you have Post–Lyme Syndrome (Chronic Lyme Disease) .In this case despite resolution of the objective manifestations of the infection with antibiotic therapy, ~10% of patients (although the reported percentages vary widely) continue to have some neurocognitive manifestations (irritable ,dificult to concentrate etc), or fatigue( feel very week)symptoms. These symptoms usually improve and resolve within months but may last for years.

Dear Dr. Biswas,
Thank you so much for you answer to my question re: Lyme/ Babesia. I do have chronic Lyme & Babesia, because I've had both for 19 years (18 yrs. undiagnosed.
The Lyme Literate Dr (LLMD). that I have talked to several times and made sure I was diagnosed properly, told me 8 or 9 months ago, to try 2 drops a day, 1 am, 1 pm of the herb Samento. I was suppose to gradually build up to 5 drops, 3 times a day.
On the am of the third day, I took 1 drop and within an hour or two I was covered with Large, red welts all over my body. He told me to stop Samento. He has never suggested any other medications or herbs. He told my daughter that I probably pass away in the next 5 years or so (she is an RN and they would rather talk to each other). If you agree with him, just let me know & I'll stop looking for new treatments. Sincerely, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Post–Lyme Syndrome (Chronic Lyme Disease) & Babesiosis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Currently, no evidence indicates that persistent subjective symptoms after recommended courses of antibiotic therapy are caused by active infection.
There is no need to try any herbal drug.
Babesiosis is mostly curable.
