What Causes A Blister On The Uvula?

Question: Hi there. I have noticed a little fluid blister on my uvula. When my tongue touches it, it pulls it down. It's clear and smooth. I'm currently on day 3 of biaxin for a sinus infection and the bump doesn't seem to be going away. I also found a bump at the far back of my throat that is smooth and skin coloured. Can you help me?
Brief Answer:
Hello. These are benign mucoceles
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Mucoceles are benign little cysts in the oral mucosa that occur from time to time and usually disappear fairly quickly. They aren't serious, but if they start to cause a problem they can be unroofed and drained by an ENT specialist.
Please let me know if you need any more information.
