Question: Six days back,I noticed a blood clot inside my left upper cheek, next to where it touches teeth. It then became a red pimple, after that it disappeared and left a white circular mark.Today Morning,That red pimple has come back.Is it Cancer?
Brief Answer:
No Cancer; Visit oral pathologist/dentist
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
There is no question of it being cancer going by your history.
However, constant friction or cheek bite needs to be looked at by a dentist/orthodontist/dental hygienist to prevent such lesions for occurring as a sharp tooth or overhang or ill fit in the area may predispose one to getting a cancerous growth in the region over a longer period of time if it gets chronic.
This particular lesion appears to be a cheek-bite possibly unwittingly while sleeping or eating & a dentist or oral hygienist would be the best person to take a look at it at this stage. But, cancer most definitely NOT.
Trust this gives you a clear answer & a direction on how to take it further.
Good Luck & Godspeed.

It is way above on left upper cheek, can I bite up there? Also,Would like to add that I used to chew tobacco and drink for close to 3 years . I have quit all that for 2 months now. Please do let me know if it is just a bite. I have been applying Glycerine for past 7 days and I am on multi vitamin tablets, but no sign of improvement.
Brief Answer:
Tosti gel; dental appointment
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
I note your added bit of history & while they are contributory factors as always to sinister issues, in this case, yes, it does appear to be as a result of local trauma, sharp tooth etc..not necessarily a bite but yes more likely given the short history of onset. Glycerine will not help much. Perhaps a steroid-antibiotic cream will help. Kenalog oral paste or Tosti gel may be given a try But a Dental appointment will be most beneficial.

Have been to a dentist,he could not find out much saying let's wait for next 3 days.
Still there is a bit of ulcer which makes the total days of its presence to 10 !!
The red blister is not there anymore. Also, the white mark has decreased.
But it has not cured properly.
So is there any need to worry or any chances of it being serious?
Please suggest.
Brief Answer:
Improve intake of Vit C rich foods; Relax.
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Glad you visited the dentist & do follow up in 3 days as suggested.
Albeit mucous membranes heal faster, sometimes these things take time.
Please take some Vit C rich food/juices etc to promote healing process.
Since there is no pain et al & it appears to be healing, please leave it alone at this point.
If it does recur in the next one year, please come across to my clinic @ XXXXXXX hospital & we can get a biopsy done from the region.
For the moment, please use the tosti gel or masterly inactivity & improve your Vitamin & antoxidant status for best results.
There is absolutely no need to fear any sinister problem even if it has been 10 days!!
Good Luck & Godspeed. Best regds.
