Question: My gums (upper right side near the back tooth) is discolored - Dark blue. My teeth are not hurting but the gum area is sore. Should I be concerned about the discoloration. I am gargling my mouth with warm salt water.

Brief Answer:
Further consultation with dentist recommended

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and the photo you sent in.

I noted the blue black spot. It is suggesting local trauma or problems with your teeth although no pain felt.

I highly recommend to consult with your dentist further.

Avoid chewing up hard foods and continue keeping good oral hygiene.

Hope this helps.
