what email do i send the picture to?
did you get the X-ray? Is it indeed a calcified floating fibroid in the uterus?
Hi very nervous did you get the X-ray picture?

Answered by Dr. Vjollce Mbiarra (14 hours later)
Brief Answer:
I get X-ray images

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again and sorry for being late.

I reviewed X-ray images and are very clear. In my opinion there is nothing to worry about because it is only a calcified uterine fibroid and doesn't cause negative effect in your life. I can safely state it is unharmful because:
1. you haven't any symptoms that have relation with uterine fibroid(it is identified incidentally)
2. it doesn't become malignant

Hence if I was you I will be calm and continue to be happy .

If you have opportunities please upload and ultrasound scan because it is more specific examination for uterine fibroid.

All the best

Yes I will go on Monday and send it then. But this is not cancer?
So nervous is there anything else it can be other than fibroid? Is it floating?
Also why would it not be found during my internal exam 3 weeks ago and what troublesome symptoms would there be?

Brief Answer:
EXPLANATION IS GIVEN BELOW

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again!
I understand your concern but try to be quiet until you will do ultrasound scan that is more specific for pelvic masses.

Chances to be cancer are very small because:
1.it is a rim calcified pelvic mass
2.it is calcified(means that it is old mass and have no supply)
3.you haven't any symptoms related to this mass and its position

From it's position it seems to be more a uterine fibroid mass .

If it isn't a uterine fibroid it may be a benign pelvic mass ,such as calcifying fibrous tumor(CFT) (are benign pelvic masses that arising from mesentery or peritoneum)

What kind of internal exam did you have ?
Pelvic masses can be shown only by radiological exams such as :X-ray,ultrasound ,CT,MRI ect.

Hope I have clarified your questions.

All the best

What is mesentery and the other word? Just my normal yearly exam and my bloodwork last month was normal So I should not worry about cancer?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Vjollce Mbiarra (20 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Don't worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again!

Peritoneum-the serous membrane lining the cavity of the abdomen and covering the abdominal organs.
Mesentery-a fold of the peritoneum which attaches the stomach, small intestine, pancreas, spleen, and other organs to the posterior wall of the abdomen.

Those yearly exams you have done doesn't show pelvic masses ,but only those exams mentioned above.

In my opinion there is nothing to worry about .
Wait until you will do ultrasound scan because it will clarify all doubts .

Do not hesitate to make another question.

Thank you but it is on the uterus right? My symptoms that scare me are hip pain a little bit buttock pain which is why I got the X-ray. Since X-ray I have a littke groin pain abs low back pain but I so exercise a lot. How long has mass been there and can it still grow if it's calcified?
Also what symptoms of this size and location fibroid?

Brief Answer:
NOT SURE 100%

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again!

1.As I sad above it seems to be more a uterine fibroid (from it's location),but with the examination you have done (X-ray ),it can't show that this calcified pelvis mass is sure a uterine fibroid .
Ultrasound scan examination can give you more details about pelvic mass.

2.Groin pain that you have had may be caused from the pelvic mass because from it's location it is close to the round ligament .
The round ligament connects the front part of the uterus to your groin, the area where your legs attach to your pelvis.
The round ligament normally tightens and relaxes slowly.

As this mass may be in your uterus , uterus is grow, the round ligament stretches. That makes it more likely to become strained.

Sudden movements can cause the ligament to tighten quickly, like a rubber band snapping. This causes a sudden and quick jabbing feeling.

3.We can't determine how long this pelvic mass have been there but while it is calcified ,it has time .
While it is rimed and calcified ,chances to grow with the time are very small.

4.Usually they are asymptomatic or only a groin pain .

Please be calm until you will do ultrasound examination which it will give you more details about this benign pelvic mass.
