What Causes A Fluid Filled Sac Along The Center Of Scrotum?
I've had a small linear fluid filled sac that runs along the center of my scrotum for about 2 years now. It is right under the surface of my skin and I'm able to squeeze it and drain it without any discomfort or pain. The fluid is either watery and clear or cloudy sometimes. It does not interfere with sexual activity. Please help!
Please, get it examined and managed!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this fluid filled sac that you have mentioned. Though it really does not inconvenience you in any major way, I will like to see it examined and managed completely.
From the description of your symptoms, it appears to be a scrotal cyst. This would collect fluid and as long as the cavity is not emptied and excised, it will always re-accumulate again. You may have been able to squeeze it out but be rest assured that it would resurface after sometime because the cavity that collects is still in place. Over time with repeated manipulation, it may become infected and cause serious problems to the external genitalia. I will suggest you get evaluated by a general physician who would assess the need for you to go to a urologist for possible excision.
In all, get it evaluated fr a possible surgical excision to prevent repeated fluid accumulation and the risk of possible infection in future following manipulations by you. It is no emergency and you should do this at your earliest convenience.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Thanks.
