Brief Answer:
Please attach the reports.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
There are no reports attached to this query. You can attach the reports in the box provided on the right hand side of this query page. If a fracture has appeared 5 months after the injury or surgery then it can be a pathological fracture due to weak bones. Kindly attach the reports both before and after the surgery and the latest X-ray that shows the fresh fracture.
Regards.

I sent an email with the photos attached -i will also try to send them again here. My main question about the fracture is this- is a dr able to say if an injury is self inflicted? Not willingly self inflicted but accidently? And would that be possible for a doctor who did not see the fracture xray until 5 months later after having had the rod inserted. This person is a type 1 diabetic since age 5, insulin pump, and has healing issues.

Brief Answer:
Not likely to be a fresh injury or self inflicted.

Detailed Answer:
I have seen the X-rays attached. The spiral fracture of lower end of tibia with a butterfly fragment cannot be a self inflicted fracture. The surgery was done to fix all the major pieces. The butterfly fragment is not fixed in such cases. It heals on its own gradually. Now after 5 months the same butterfly fragment is not healed. It is not likely to be a fresh injury or a self inflicted injury. It is also not suggestive of a negligence of the treating doctor.
Regards.
