Hi,
I would recommend you to think back, as to who all carries your kid. Any maid taking cars of the kid? Any neighbour who has recently visited and was having your kid. Or what you thought was gentle, might have been a bit too much for your kid, in terms of holding the kid.

I am sure with all this you will know what could have happened. Then do get back to your doctor for further management.
Take care
