Question: Hi, I am a 47 year old female, I have a painless "lump?" in what I would describe as groin, but not inguinal, hard to explain. Right side. Kind of lateral to vaginal opening. YYYY@YYYY

Brief Answer:
It could be a Sebaceous cyst or Lymphnode.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
The swelling in that area could be a Sebaceous cyst or a Lymphnode.
You should consult a General surgeon, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
If the swelling is of moderate size,I do an FNAC (Fine needle aspiration cytology ).If it is small,I will remove it completely and send it for histopathological examination(Biopsy).
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

Thanks, I know this is longshot but have you ever seen a hamstring injury cause something like this? I did pull hamstring about 2 weeks ago. It is very painful and after a few days I was able to do ordinary ADL's but driving the car is excruciating, even 2 weeks later( I feel it from groin down to mid foot. I just thought about this, but I wonder if its related.
Thank you for your time XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Hamstring rupture can cause severe pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Hamstring rupture can cause severe pain in that region with lump rarely.
First, we should think of common conditions. Once they are excluded, we can think of rare causes.
Wish you good health.
