What Causes A Lump On The Mons Pubis?
Question: Hi there,
I noticed a small lump on the side of my mons pubis a few months ago maybe even a year. I always felt it there but never did anything about it because it's painless and I actually rarely noticed it. Recently maybe within the last week it seems that same spot has grown and now is more of the size of an almond. I can actually almost grab it and feel the entire ball. I'm. It sure what to do. I've read that it's an infected hair follicle to it being a cyst. Any suggestions? I haven't tried popping it because I'm scared it will hurt or I'll make it worse. Should I be worried? There no major discoloration maybe slightly red and feel a bit itchy sometimes but I'm bot sure if that's just me being paranoid about it. It close to where my panty line is on the left side if I'm looking down. Help!

Brief Answer:
get checked
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Could you tell me a little bit more about yourself?
Your age? any other underlying illnesses? any medications you are on?
It would not be wise to ignore a vulval lump which is growing in size. If it is a hair follicle infection it would not last for a year.
Get a gynecologist to check it and also take a biopsy and rule out any other concerns or vulval diseases.
Biopsy would be necessary.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
