What Causes A Lump Under The Armpit?
Armpit and breast ultrasound should be done.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Can you please attach a photo of it?
Lump under the armpit can be enlarged lymph node or some benign skin lesion including hair follicle infection.
Enlarged lymph node is the fist thing which should be ruled out. Lymph node is usually rounded, hard, painless. Can be movable or not.
Hair follicle inflammation is more possible if you have been shaving recently in this area. Pain, swelling, redness are typical for such issue. Pain can radiate to the arm.
If there is no pain, lymph node is the most probable reason. Please note that lymph node can be associated with breast lump. Please try to carefully palpate your left breast and see if there is no lump there.
You should consult your doctor for sure. Breast and armpit ultrasound should be done.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
Breast lymph node.
Detailed Answer:
If its on the breast, close to armpit this can be a breast lymph node. There are few levels of breast lymph nodes. Closest is exactly where you have described it. Small, hard and rounded, painless lump seems to be a lymph node for sure. Please have an ultrasound done.
