Follow below instructions

Detailed Answer:
Hello, greetings!
Thanks for posting your query on hcm.

Typically for such painful and sensitive tongue, I will suggest lidocaine containing mouth wash or gel. This is available by a prescription only. Your doctor will know about it.

In the meanwhile, please follow these suggestions:-
- Avoid any cold or hot foods which will irritate your tongue. Eat food after bringing it to room temperature.
- Avoid spicy or excessively salty food.
- You may use over the counter pain killers like Ibuprofen twice a day for 3 days.
- Apply a coat of glycerin on your tongue 3-4 times a day.
- Vitamin C supplements.

If you have any further doubts/ clarifications, you may get back to me.
Regards,
Dr. Sonia
