What Causes A Painful Ball Under The Clavicle Near The Shoulder?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
It sounds like a Lipoma. Either show to Surgeon or send photo.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This sounds like a Lipoma. It is a lump made up of fat cells and is completely harmless and happens to be the commonest lumps in the body anywhere. It still is however an uncommon location for the same.
I suggest you get it examined by a Surgeon to be sure. Clinical examination should be enough for diagnosis and if there is a doubt then your doctor would advice an FNAC test, which is done by putting a very fine needle into the lump and aspirating the cells and then examining it under a microscope.
This would give us better idea what it is.
Or you could send me a photo of the lump and it would give us better idea.
There is no need to worry as it sounds completely benign.
Take care and do let me know if there are other queries on this issue.

It would be a Lipoma. Get yourself examined.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Good to hear from you so soon.
No doubt it is an unusual location but Lipomas can occur almost anywhere in the body. The fact that you can move it around almost confirms that it is a Lipoma.
If it is causing any problems or cosmetic issues then it can be removed by a very minor surgery.
Photo if wont be able to show the lesion then it would be better to get it examined by a Surgeon who would be able to confirm the diagnosis.
All the best and I am always here for your help and advice.
Take care and always be healthy,

No, it does not look like cancer at all.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
That is perfectly right.
In case of cancer it would not move much.
Do not worry.
If there is any doubt then the FNAC test would be able to clarify it.
Or better yet you can get it removed surgically and send the entire lump for a Biopsy which would be able to tell you in totality what it was.
Do not worry at all.
Just see your Surgeon and he will guide you in a similar manner.
Take care and do let me know.
Dr Rishi.
