What Causes A Protruding Through The Vagina?

Please fix an appointment with Gynecologist for examination
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.
You have observed this since when? Do you have any urinary complaints? Do you have constipation? Does this mass increase in size when you cough or strain? From which part of vagina you are seeing this protrusion?
From your notes it appears to be one of the following:
1. Cystocele - This is prolapse of bladder due to weakness of muscles and ligaments. Increases in size on coughing. It is seen as protrusion from the anterior /upper wall of vagina. You may have urinary complaints like difficulty in emptying the bladder, leaking of urine when you cough, etc
2. Rectocele - This is prolapse of wall of rectum due to weakness of muscles and ligaments. Increases in size on coughing. It is seen as protrusion from the posterior /lower wall of vagina. You may have constipation
3. Prolapse of uterus along with bladder and rectum. It can be pushed back in the vagina while lying down.
Please fix an appointment with Gynecologist for examination. So that a correct diagnosis is made.
I hope this is helpful. If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama

Having sex will not cause any damage. It will not be painful.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
From what you have written, it appears to be mild to moderate cystocele. Examination by Gynecologist will confirm it.
Having sex will not cause any damage. It will not be painful. Your partner is unlikely to notice it.

Do Kegel exercises consistantly.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
From your notes, you seem to have cystocele. Kegel exercises help reduce the prolapse and prevent it from worsening. So do Kegel exercises regularly. You will see the effect of Kegel exercises, only if you are consistently doing it.The effect will be seen after 2 months of regular exercises. The effect remains as long as you continue to do the exercise.
I shall discuss about possible surgery once diagnosis is made by your doctor.
If you have further concerns, do write to me.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama
