Posted on Sat, 14 Jan 2017
Question: Hello, My mother is facing a pulling sensation in the head since almost 3 years now. The pulling sensation is also accompanied by a pulling sensation in the left toes. We have visited a neurologist and have done a CT/MRI scan and the doctor says that the reports are normal. We have also visited an orthopaedic doctor who after looking at the scans reported normalcy. However the pulling sensation continues. Currently she is on certain pain killing medications but wish to find a solution for this problem due to which it is difficult for her to read or perform any task.

Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.

Her symptoms are classically suggestive of CTH. Most important here is that you should accept that she has this problem, and take appropriate treatment for this from a single doctor.

Most people with this kind of problem keep on visiting various doctors with hope of the solution.

The solution is SSRI group of anti depressants like Escitalopram and Tri-cyclic anti depressants like Amitryptilline.

She should go for morning walk, meditation to cope up with the problem.

This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
