What Causes A Purplish Stain In The Left Side Of The Underwear?
Question: I have a purplish stain in the left side of my underwear after I wear them. We tested it by pouring peroxide on the ares and it bubbled. However I see no obvious source for the blood. It is almost like it is seeping through my skin. It happens where the deepest crevice touches my underwear. I have had femoral pseudoaneurysm several years ago (2013), but I had surgery to correct it. But the thing is, I am having this on opposite side. I don't feel bad at all, but I do sit at a computer a lot. Anything to worry about?

Do you have any skin lesions in the genital area or where your stained part of underwear?
have you noticed any changes in urine or feces?

I have a dark mole area (about almost a half inch in diameter) on my testicle sack that has been looked at by a skin doctor in the past but it is above that area, so I did not think it was it. Other than that, looking in the location I see nothing there.
On occasion I have had blood on my stool, but not so much recently. I do sit at my computer a lot as a web designer. Not sure if that is causing anything. I do seem to sweat a lot down there.
No real problems that I can say comes from down there. I did feel a bit of a burning sensation one day a month or two ago on the other side from my side that had the heart XXXXXXX and femoral psuedoanyeurism... worried me a bit but it was on right said... the purplish was on left side. However there is brownish discoloration on both sides of my underwear where that is between the testicle sack and my leg. But the left side is the one that is purplish, so I did not know if it is related.
I have been exercising some but nothing to strenuous. I did lift a couch recently, but this has been going on for longer than that.

Thank you for your reply. From your description of problem I am not worried about anything serious as of now. Sometimes sweat can accumulate at one place and cause discoloration of the underwear but it is usually not purplish in color. Rarely such discoloration is seen in some types of Porphyrias, but since you do not have any complaints like abdominal pain or skin discoloration or photosensitivity on skin I am not worried a lot about that too. In either case there is a simple urine test to detect presence of porphyrins.
Rest regarding the mole, I would recommend to regularly get it examined by a doctor to see a change in size, colour or margins.
