What Causes A Rash Around The Gut On Left Side Of Body?
Question: I returned from Peru on Sunday afternoon. I had a diverticulitis attack the prior Thursday night and began taking Cipro for that on Friday morning. On Sunday evening when getting ready for bed I noticed I had a rash around my gut on the left side of my body that began at my waistline and went around to the middle of my back at the same height. It does not itch and is not what I would consider painful to touch. As the day progressed yesterday, my back began to hurt near the rash area and the rash began raised and warm to the touch. I am on the East coast and my doctor's office is not opened yet. Any ideas as to what this may be. I am a 53 year old white male in excellent health otherwise.
