What Causes A Small Hard Oval Shaped Lump On Forehead?
Question: have a small hard oval-ish shaped lump on my forehead. It is right in the crevice of my frontal lobe. If I press it, it will move to the right or left, not far, but it does move a little. It feels like a small bb underneath my skin. I never noticed it before, but if I look in the mirror, now its all I see. I inspected some old pictures and it seems that it may have been there slightly for a while, but it has increased in size. My head has a bunch of dents and dinks in that area, so its hard to tell. I have been told by a doctor on this site, that in his opinion it is a Lipoma. I am searching for a second opinion. I am clinically a hypocandriac, so hearing reassurance gets me through the day.

Hello.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I read carefully your query and evaluated the picture you have sent.
A small movable lump on that area that has been there for a while ,it is very likely to be lipoma.A general physician can confirm the diagnosis for you if you still have any doubt but definitely it is lipoma.
It is not of concern and if it creates a cosmetic problem for you ,it can be removed very easy.
Lipomas can get bigger over years but this is normal and not of concern.
Hope it helps.
Please let me know if you have any question.
Kind regards,

I still can't confirm it has been there for that long. I have some photos that seem to have a small mark, from years ago. But I can clearly see it about 5 - 6 months ago. So it has been growing.

Hello.
5-6 months are long enough for a condition to appear with all symptoms so if it was something else like a malign lesion ,it would have increased in size considerably and it would have caused other symptoms.
If the lump has only slightly increased in the last 5-6 months ,it is more indicative of a benign lesion like lipoma.
I don't think you have any reason to worry about. You can get it checked with your general doctor just to be sure ,but it doesn't seem to be of concern.
You can just keep on eye on it and see if it going to increase in the following months.
Take care.

I appreciate the feedback. But now that I know it is there I can feel it even when I am not touching it. I don't know if that is because I was playing with it for so many days. My only other concern was it feels harder than the lipoma I had on my back.

Hello again.
I really apologize for the delay in answering your query.
In my opinion this lump is just a lipoma and it is possible that your worry makes you feel it different.
It is normal that lipoma in this location can be felt harder than in other locations because there is no much soft tissue and the lipoma.
I would suggest to don't touch it for some days and see if it still will feel different.
The only thing to do now is to get it checked with your doctor.Through physical examination he can confirm if it is a lipoma.
Take care.
