Brief Answer:
soft spots

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for returning to HCM with more information. The soft spots maybe lipomas., These are growths of fatty tissue. They are completely benign and will not give you any future problem. To be sure of the diagnosis I recommend that you see your medical provider and have them check the areas. They should easily be able to diagnose lipomas.

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions

Dr. Schubert, I looked up Lipomas and that is not what is happening on my scalp. My two small spots are an indention or depression of the area. It feels like a baby's soft spot. What is this and what is the cause, please

Brief Answer:
soft spots

Detailed Answer:
Since these are not lipoma then I would venture to guess they are areas of your scalp where the usual soft tissue has atrophied. This is still benign and should not be worrisome. If you still feel worried I would recommend that you see your medical provider for more in depth evaluation. I can only guess as to the cause because I would need to see and feel the area to better diagnose your problem. Your Medical provider can give you better counsel on this matter.
