What Causes A Weird Sound After Taking A Deep Breath?

default
Posted on Tue, 23 Dec 2014
Question: many times as I go on my day something happens that I take a big breath and the air that comes makes a sound that resembles a hiccup , a snore or even the sound an animal like a pork would make. I never know when this is going to happen until I hear the noise which embarrass me. Any ideas of what can be the cause of this?

Brief Answer:
I think it is a bronchial pathology...

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thank you for posting.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

I think that your symptoms are related to a bronchial disease.

To determine the exact diagnosis you need:
1. Fibrobroncoscopy, to rule out a bronchial pathology.
2. Chest X-ray.
3. Urine test.

You should also contact your pulmonologist to discuss about the diagnosis and treatment.

Ask me for anything unclear.

Regards.
Dr. Behar.
