![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hi, I have been taking ciprofloxacin 500MG twice daily for a UTI. I have one pill left. I have had abdominal pain since I started taking it. Is this common, and how long will it take to go away?
Brief Answer:
Probably not long
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.
This can be caused by cipro which is known to irritated stomach and colon, but also it can be sign of uroinfection and in both cases it should pass within few days after therapy. If pain persist you should do more detailed gastroenterologis work up,but this is not expected. Just try to eat easier food and rest. Wish you good health. Regards
