Question : Have been on ciprofloxacin for 5 days have blotting and gas and abdominal pain is this a reaction to ciprofloxacin?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this bloating and abdominal pain that you have reported. This is not uncommon following treatment with ciprofloxacin. I will suggest that you drink much water, increase fruits and vegetables intake and also avoid soda drinks. All will soon return to normal and more so because you have stopped the medication. If loose stools continue, kindly report the number in a day to me and precise whether there is blood or not in the stool.
