What Causes Abdominal Pain, Bloating And Constipation When Diagnosed With Gallbladder Cancer?
Question: I am an 8 year survivor of gall bladder cancer and recently have been experiencing abdominal pain such as bloating, distended stomach and some constipation. This occurs randomly after some meals but I can't seem to find a pattern. Once was after pizza and beer then another was after boiled crabs and most recently after eating Italian food then a milkshake. It keeps me up most of night and twice took close to 24 hours for the bloating to subside.
Brief Answer:
How are your stools?
Detailed Answer:
HI,
The gall bladder is very important in the digestion of fats. Without your gall bladder, fatty meals should be reduced to minimum as the digestive tract has enormous difficult handling this. Also, take a look at your stools after visiting the toilet. This might show traces of oil on the surface which is highly suggestive of the difficulties accurately digesting fats.
I hope this helps and guides. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
