What Causes Abdominal Pain, Fatigue, Dehydration And Slight Blood From Mouth?
Question: My wife went to the hospital last night. We were there for several hours. They ran urine, stool and blood work as well as xray and cat scan. She was given anti-nausea medication, pain medication and sent home. Today, she had no nausea for the day until after taking a shower. In her vomit, there was no blood visible, but when she wiped her mouth there was blood on the tissue. Not sure what to do.
Brief Answer:

will need further evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hello
From the history you have given me it sounds like acute gastritis to me. However if the problem persists I strongly recommend an endoscopy to be done.
Here is how you should go about it
1. Keep her well hydrated. I recommend ORS powder to be put into 1 litre of water. It has to be taken sip by sip over 4 hours. This will prevent vomiting
2. Tab Esomprozole with domperidone is the best drug for this condition. It can be taken twice daily before food
3. Avoid spicy food, caffeine, milk and milk products.
4 Make sure that the food is bland and semi solid Do not attempt solid food for a while
5. Avoid juices.
6. Blood indicates gastiric erosions. Neksium should take care of it
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
