Question: Hello,
Yesterday I woke up with abdominal pain, no appetite all day ( i was able to eat some soup/crackers), tenderness in abdomen, all the way around, but mainly in front, entire abdomen, bad headache, fever between 99 and 100.8 with chills, could not get warm, feeling awful. I do have a history of diverticulitis, but not sure this is it, because the pain is not localized as before. I will visit my doctor tomorrow, but I dont feel up to going out.

Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to gastritis

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. You could be having an episode of gastritis. Taking Prilosec (omeprazole) once daily before breakfast/meal should help. Taking some antacids will help in neutralizing the acids already secreted. Also take Paracetamol or Acetaminophen if the temperature is above 100°F. Take plenty of water and fluids to drink. Reduce the gap between meals. Restrict alcohol intake. I hope that should provide relief.
