What Causes Abdominal Pain While Having White Vaginal Discharge?

Question: Hi... I'm 30 years old female.. I usually have smashed rice smelled white discharge... What does it mean?? I used to have abdominal pain as well.... have itching in vaginal area too

Hi

I understand your concerns about discharge.

Such discharge and smell is seen typically in fungal infection of vagina. This is common occurrence in women of reproductive age group.

I give a course of Candid V6 vaginal pessary foe 6 night to my patients. You can try the same.

If you don't find relief with this you can get high vaginal swab culture and sensitivity test done to identify the organism causing infection and the antibiotics it is responsive to.

Thanks Doctor... Will work on this... One more concern I had, do I need to go through pap smear now? Many people used to say women should go through pap smear after 30... What are pre symptoms of cervical cancer?? I had PCOS issue also... I'm planing to get marry in Aug'2016

You can get pap smear done only after treating discharge otherwise report is likely to be abnormal.

I suggest you treat discharge first as suggested.

PCOS is not really a problem. Dont worry about it.

Cervical cancer presents with intermenstrual vaginal bleeding or bleeding after sexual intercourse. Dont worry about cancer as it is not so common to be worried now.

Yes... Thanks a lot doctor... But I should clearly speak with you this that in last 10 years I had got intimated with two different partners that is why I was worried. Now a days I'm having frequent abdominal pain... N for my last few mistakes I really don't want to spoil my future...
