What Causes Abnormal Heart Beats?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I have been told I had a squishy heart! What the heck is that? The answer I got made no sense. I was told it will not hurt me but when I feel it ,which is all the time it scares me. Is this something to be concerned with/ or should I take the doctors word I am ok, it won't hurt me.

Brief Answer:
I would like to review your test reports if possible.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX!
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
I would explain that this definition could be related to different cardiac disorders:
- heart failure
- cardiomyopathy
- ectopic heart beats
- mitral valve prolapse, etc.
Could you please download your cardiac tests reports for me to review and give a more professional opinion?
What are your symptoms? Why did you perform a cardiac check up?
The fact that there is no pain, means that it is not coronary artery disease, but it does not exclude the above possibilities.
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri

I have a un natural feeling that my heart sometimes when beating feels like jello. I have had severe depression for over 50 years. It would also be like skipping a beat or sometimes feeling like it quivers.. I had a complete heart check up about a year ago maybe 9 months. I even wore a heart monitor. Nothing showed. So I was diagnosed with a squishy heart. My doctor is Dr. Raos at Healthcare Partners in XXXXXXX Ca., I have take a stress test, worn a monitor, had an EKG, and a echo cardiagram. I do not have the results of the test, but I assume I could get them.
I was told I had no heart disease, just a squishy heart. Please send me an email to send my results and I will call the office to forward them to you.
Thank you, XXXXXXX XXXXX

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
Thank you for the additional information.
The fact that your cardiac tests have resulted normal, it means that all your symptoms could be related to anxiety and to a sensitive heart to sympathetic nervous system activity (ectopic heart beats, palpitations, etc.).
You can upload your test reports on this question, on HCM! It is very easy to do this, and I can review them.
Unfortunately it is against the regulations of HCM system to contact through e-mail.
You can ask me directly at any time at the link below, whenever you need:
