Brief Answer:
Need more details please.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
At times, there might be such a bleeding pattern due to hormonal imbalance.
This may happen due to - anxiety, stress, weight changes, exercise, late nights, emotional imbalance, travelling, smoking , drinking etc.
IF this is for the first time, you can ignore it.
If the bleeding persists for a week more, or this same thing happens again, you need to have an evaluation.
Reasons may include - cyst, fibroid, endometrial hyperplasia , polycystic ovarian syndrome etc.
Please visit a Specialist OB - GYN for an internal exam, Pap smear, pelvic ultrasound scan and hormonal tests ( FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin ).
Also, are you sure that pregnancy is ruled out ?
Are you on any kind of hormones ?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.
