What Causes Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding?
Question: I went to the bathroom and wiped and had dark blood on tissue paper. I have been done with my period for almost a week. I exercised a hour at the gym and a hour of yoga yesterday. No cramping just worried
Brief Answer:
Don't worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome toHCM . Thanks for writing into is with your health query. I have gone through your query and understand your concerns completely. Sometimes blood can remain in uterine cavity for some duration and comes out of vagina as dark black discharge. I usually see such cases in my practice. It commonly happens when there is sexual activity during periods. It can also happen after heavy exercise which dislodge the old uterine slough. Since you have no abdominal pain or any other discomfort , it is the most probable reason .If you have any other query please feel free to discuss. Regards Dr Manisha Jain.
