What Causes Acute And Persistent Pain In Lower Abdomen After Endometriosis?
Question: I had endometriosis and urithra diverticula at same time in 2003! Took care of diverticula and did partial hysterectomy. Pain came back last year. Went inside bladder and said diverticulum was good, said had painfull bladder syndrome. Did ultrasound of ovaries, can't find them but they are there! Pain is back with a vengeance. Should I be worried about ovarian in cancer? Endometriosis was so bad in 2003, they put stints in my kidneys. Major scar tissue against my colon
Brief Answer:
Can be a scar tissue or endometriosis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
If the pain is acute and is persistent and continuous then it can be due to a scar tissue or endometriosis. Since the ovaries were not discovered on ultrasound, they may be involved in the scar tissue. The only way to diagnose the cause is by laparoscopy. MRI scan can also help to some extent. Any ovarian mass or cancer is less likely.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

So, since the uterus is gone, my ovaries just float around??? They could attatch to scar tissue and cause my pain? Is that what ur saying? Could it also be possible that the endometriosis is growing on outside of bladder? Thank u for answering
Brief Answer:
Both can be the possibilities.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The ovaries can entangle in the scar tissue and endometriosis can also happen on the outer side of bladder wall. The pain needs proper investigations to find the cause.
