What Causes Acute Lower Left Abdominal Pain And Bloating?

Vaginal cultures normal, colonoscopy plus endoscopy normal, admitted to er for pain where they did blood work and white blood cells were mildly elevated and blood in urine was found but they said no uti. Pain is localized on lower abdomen exactly at level of appendix but on left side. Re did white blood cell test and is normal now. I feel so bloated and this pain is always there. I have seen a gastro, gyno, and general doctor and no one seems to know what is hoing on. My entire lower fascia is painful but left side way more.
What could this be?
It could be due to Diverticulosis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Pain in the left lower quadrant of the abdomen is usually due to Left sided Ureteric colic,Diverticulosis, Left sided twisted Ovarian cyst.
Though you had blood in the urine,CT scan was normal for Urinary tract. So,it could be due to Simple Urinary tract infection.
As per your description, left ovary is enlarged, but not twisted. So,it is excluded.
As your pain is associated with bloating, it is related to gut.As Descending colon and Sigmoid colon are present in the left lower quadrant of the abdomen, Diverticulosis in these areas could be the reason.Sometimes, they become inflamed leading to Diverticulitis causing pain.
You should consult a Surgical Gastroenterologist instead of Medical Gastroenterologist ,get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Till then, I prefer antispasmodic tablet containing Dicyclomine to my patients with similar complaints.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
