What Causes Anal Itching?

Question: Hello Mr Doctor: My Anal (Rear End) Is most Itchy whenever I sit down or working very hard and get sweaty. Also I'm not to sure - maybe Toilet Paper that I use from Work which may have Bleach in the rolls maybe causing the itch in/around my Bowl or sugar or some foods that also could be causing me this Problem..
There are so many factors that I cannot put my finger on it -
However I will Mention that Vitami- E Cream sooths that Area nicely until my next toilery.
Can You Help; Do you have any suggestions other than seeing my Local GP ?
Kind Regards: XXXX

Brief Answer:
several possibilities
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
There are several causes of anal itching. The most common ones are bacterial infection, fungal infection, allergy or irritation due to hemorrhoids.
In your case it sounds like you may be allergic to something in the toilet paper. Consider taking a supply of a different kind of paper with you in your pocket so that you can use that at work.
Sugary foods can make it more likely for you to get a yeast/fungal infection but you would be very itchy all the time if you had this.
With a bacterial infection you would have a rash and itching and pain around the rectum.
Try using a different toilet paper and some of your vitamin E cream after each bowel movement.
