What Causes Anxiety And Fast Heart Rate After Having Herbalife Shakes?
it is possible
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
If you read the ingredient label on Herbalife shakes the first two ingredients are soy and fructose. Both of these are somewhat controversial in their effects on the body. Soy is used in these shakes as a source of protein but there are other healthier protein sources. Some people react poorly to soy protein. The next is fructose. It is a sugar that is not recommended. Even table sugar is healthier than fructose. Herbalife shakes also contain a higher amount of sugar in general than many other weight loss shakes. The licorice flavoring in the Vanilla shake may cause an increased heart rate in some people.
I suggest you try a different shake with less sugar, no fructose and either pea or rice protein instead of soy protein.
If you have noticed an increase in anxiety and heart rate on this product you should stop it and try a different product or different approach to weight loss.
Good luck to you,

duty test), all came fine, should i do another EKG? Also i suffered from GAD and Panic Attacks back in 2008.
good that you had lab tests
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
It is good that you had lab tests. It is possible that your thyroid or some other problem could be causing some symptoms. High thyroid is especially likely to cause fast heart rate.
After stopping the shakes it can take a week or so for your body to get back to normal. If you are still having a fast heart rate after being off the shakes for a week then you might consider asking your doctor to recheck an EKG. If your fast heart rate comes and goes you may need a Holter monitor test to figure out the cause. If the anxiety persists consider a medication to help calm that down. I hope you are feeling better soon.
