Question: hI - Last year I had pain in my chest (bad). Went to dr and had blood test. Showed my liver was bad. Dr thought I had hep c. My sister died of this 6 years ago. turns out it was a gall stone and I no longer have a gall bladder. Stone passed and all was ok. Dr put me through endoscopy, CAT scan, sonogram, and I had an MRI (another issue) dr initially scared me to death. Told him of pain in my back and chronic constipation. He said it was PROBABLY the meds I take. I will be 50 in April so I thought maybe my body is changing? exhausted from worrying. After that I was told the pain in my back would go away. It did not. Now 6 months later my back is bothering me to the point that i went back to dr. Ordered another CAT scan to just look at my organs. Now he says test showed multiple spots on liver and kidney. He says to wait 6 months and have another test? Scared don't know what to do. Small county and not a lot of dr to choose from. Not sure what to do? JUST PLAIN SCARED.

Hi.
Thanks four your query.

To recapitulate : Female / nearing 50 - exhausted from worrying - scarred - multiple problems - has chest pain - blood tests showed bad live - turns out to be gallstone - persistent back pain - CT showed multiple spots on kidney and liver - asked to wait for 6 months - Small country -

First of all I would like to ask you some questions.
- What is the most nagging problem at the moment ?
- Which area of the back and neck has pain ? It is a fixed area ?
- Is it something like a repetitive stress injury ? In this condition the particular spot in the neck or the back in particular goes into fibrosis and a site for persistent pain at a given spot as the muscles are stressed repeatedly.

-Please elucidate on '' the spots in kidneys and liver ? Give the reports. Are these of benign nature ? Any further investigations like FNAC done ?
You may post these reports on the link - YYYY@YYYY

You can take laxatives for constipation as straining at passing bowel movements can increase the pains you have.

Is the Gall bladder removed ? If yes, when ?

In all such conditions the first treatment is to reduces the anxiety and the stress as they directly increase any such problems that you have.

I hope this answer helps you to get the correct line of diagnosis and management. Please feel free to give feedback, post all the reports, try to be stress-free and live without anxiety if you want the best results; and ask relevant questions please.
