What Causes Back Pain In Lower Right Lumber Area In A Diabetic?
Question: I have back pain in the right lower lumber area. I am undergoing physiotherapy like electric vibrator & massager. When the pain is severe I take one tablet of signofam . I have knee pain also. I am 76 and diabetic. (HbA1C- 7). Two years back I had melena and I was advised to take pantocid IT and now I am taking pentocid 40.Since metformin was giving some irritable bowl problem I was askedd to take glimipiride 2mg. Galvus 50; Since signofam is expected to cause stomach ulcer I have some apprehension about it.I take insulin ( MAXTARD) 22 units in the morning & 18 units in the night. Besides I take Rejoint (Which has Glucosamine ) 1 Tab in the night. I wish to have your opinion.

Dear sir, greeting from HCM. I read your problem. You need to go for an MRI and consult with a good orthopedic surgeon. Your Hba1c is ok , continue the same dose of mixtrad. You need lifestyle changes for both diabetes and back pain. Do not lift heavy weight, take food in limited quantities. Walk reduce your weight. Take more of milk diary products. Vitamin D supplements. More of green leafy vegetables and fruits. You will be alright thanks
