What Causes Big Painful Bumps From Knees To Ankles?

Possibility of "Vasculitis": various suggestions and guidance.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.
I can understand your concern for itchy red bumps over your legs. After analyzing the pictures and correlating with your query it appears the possibility of "Vasculitis".
This is a condition caused by inflammation of the small blood vessels in the skin. This can be triggered by multiple factors. As the inflammation progresses the chemical inside the white blood cells is released to cause the kind of rash which you mentioned. There can be multiple factors producing this condition which are included in day to day life and some times it is really difficult to find one exact cause.
I suggest you to meet a dermatologist to rule out the best possible cause. Till the time you meet a dermatologist there are certain suggestions below:
-Apply over the counter calamine lotion 3-4 times a day.
-You can do cold water compresses to reduce the intensity of itching.
-Do not scratch or rub the skin as it can lead to further aggravation.
-You can take oral anti histamine like loratadine or levocetrizine under medial advise.
For the time being period till you meet a doctor you can take an anti-inflammatory tablet such as paracetamol or diclofenac or ibuprofen to reduce eh swelling. I hope this information will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.
"Wish you good health"
