What Causes Bleeding From Penis After Sex?

It could be due to some minor injury.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, XXXXXXX
Please answer the following questions so I can guide you completely.
1. Was it the first time you have had sex?
2. Did you have pain when the bleeding occurred?
3. Was there swelling of the penile shaft after the act and increased thereafter?
4. Did you have difficulty in retracting the foreskin(Prepuce) of your penis before you had sex. This is called Phimosis and is a common condition in which the foreskin does not easily retract over the tip of the penis(Glans) specially in the erect state.
So, if you had a difficult retraction then during the act there can be forceful retraction which can lead to a little bleeding which stops on its own.
If your penis is having erectile problems since the episode it could be a fracture of the penile shaft but that is usually a painful condition and causes the penis to swell up to a great extent.
You should see a Surgeon/ Urologist who can examine you and tell whether there is any injury or Phimosis. Without examining you it is difficult to comment as to what the problem is. I suggest you see the above mentioned Doctor at the earliest as if it is a Fracture then it should be treated at the earliest.
Do let me know what happens and if I can guide you further.
It will help if you can attach photo of the area the blood came from.
Take care,
Dr Rishi, New XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
