What Causes Bleeding Inside Gestational Sac During Pregnancy?
Question: Hi,
I'm 7 weeks pregnant and was told there was a bleed INSIDE the gestational sac. Everything I'm reading online mentions bleeding outside of the sac, but does not mention anything about bleeding inside the sac. What does this mean? And what causes it?

Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
The bleed may occur inside the sac also but before giving my opinion I would like to see your ultrasound report.
Are you having spotting or bleeding?
On any treatment?
Any other associated symptoms?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Good luck.
Regards

I don't have a copy of the ultrasound report. I am not having any bleeding or spotting. She told me that this could resolve on its own, but she did say that it puts me at a higher risk for miscarriage, and I've already had 3 miscarriages. I'm just curious what the name of this particular bleed would be and what would or could cause it. Everything I'm reading says bleeds outside of the sac, but I'm not finding any name or info on bleeds inside.
Brief Answer:
Your doctor opinion is right.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Sorry for such a long delay in my response.
Yes,your doctor opinion is right and this bleed may be indication of future chances of miscarriage or may get resolve spontaneously.
It may be due to protein -s deficiency.
It could be due to twin pregnancy, one foetus demise.
As such there is no name for this bleeding but it may increase the chances of miscarriage.
So you should take bed rest and avoid exertion.
Hope found usefu.
Good luck.
