Brief Answer:
Can be due to gas, constipation or increased abdominal fat.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The bulging of the abdomen that you have is not likely to be related to abortion or any periods related problem. It is normal to gain weight during pregnancy due to the effect of hormones which usually decreases after delivery or abortion. In your case the cause of bulging could be gas and indigestion, constipation or an increase in abdominal fat.
To reduce the extra bulge you need to have plenty of fluids, restrict your sugar and fat intake and start with an active daily exercise for at least 30 minutes like swimming or aerobics. Do take a fiber rich diet to avoid constipation and belching.
